Hi

Just got a new Sandy Bridge system with an i7 2600k chip and Nvidia GTX 570.

Encodes are now 5 times quicker than with my old Duel Core E6600.

I would like to know if there will be any chance of an auto shutdown once the encode finishes. Can be left on over night then.

Any chance of Nvidia Cuda support?

Thanks

Cuda support is up to the Handbrake team. I can add an option to shutdown when the encode finishes. I'll put it on the backlog. For now you can set your computer to sleep on inactivity. VidCoder will keep your computer awake until the encode finishes, then your computer will go into sleep mode and consume nearly zero power and come back very quickly.

Hi, that would be great. At the moment, I can only find the Win 7 options for to sleep as never and after an amount of time. Example, 5 mins 10 mins 30 mins and so on.

Yeah so it would go to sleep X minutes after the end of the encode but it wouldn't be on all night.

Just added options to Sleep, Log off or Shut down after the encode queue completes in 0.9.3.
