sudden constant error

Nov 4, 2014 at 2:08 PM
A couple weeks ago I started getting this error when trying to use vidcoder. It is happening so frequently, the program is almost unusable.

net framework is fully updated and I am using the 64 bit version with 16 gb ram

I'm not sure what's wrong. Can you send me %appdata%\VidCoder-Beta\VidCoder.sqlite ? Does it happen on every launch or just sometimes?
Nov 4, 2014 at 8:59 PM
It happens 2 of 3 launches.
Once i'm in the program, half of the successful launches will also error when i try to add a video or adjust a preset.

Hmm, it doesn't crash for me, tried it about 10 times. Does it still crash on the Beta? You can install it without disturbing your stable version.

Thanks for the reply.

I just installed beta (installed fine) and got the following when trying to open

I will note, i have been having issues with a game also, not the same type of errors, but a sound issue.
I have swapped ram, video card, disabled on board sound and put in a sound card. and completely reloaded windows 7.

starting to think maybe i'm having a mb/proc issue.

I'm not getting any problems on the Beta either. That's a really weird error, I do think something is wrong with your .NET install or your hardware.
Nov 5, 2014 at 9:35 PM
i'm going for hardware over net framework because the complete reload was just last week, and i'm getting the same errors as before the reload.

thanks for the help, looks like i'm computer parts shopping tonight.

Thanks for your help. Thought I'd let you know I replaced the motherboard and processor and all my problems went away.

Hi, i'm getting the same error message as displayed above, don't know what's causing that...

EDIT: Using the 1.5.30 version on win7x64, oddly enough with 1.4.25 it doesnt happen...
Dec 16, 2014 at 7:34 PM
Hmm it seems i have fixed my issue by deleting everything in the %AppData\roaming\vidcoder folder.

Did you save your old VidCoder.sqlite file? If you provide it to me I might be able to find and fix the issue for others.

Hmm. It looks like there's an unrecognized container in the preset you're using. Could you export that preset for me or save the .sqlite file?
