Hey all I would like my output filename to be same as the main folder My naming structure is :
Main folder name of movie, inside that folder is a video_ts folder. So it is for example

2012/Video_ts so I would like the output to be named "2012" any ideas? I tried selecting custom format then {parent:2} but ended up with no filename at all help appreciated cheers.

If they are getting scanned in as DVDs then you should be able to use {source} .

I tried source but it came up as "Video_ts" changed it to {parent} and it seems to now be working the way I want it to., I was thinking it would be grandparent folder video_ts/2012 two levels but just parent seems to work fine. Thanks for the reply cheers.

One other thing anyway to create a sub folder in destination location then name the folder and the file going into it the same automatically ? So it reads source file name 2012 on e: drive the destination is F:/Movies/ so it creates the folder F:/Movies/2012 and writes the file into folder 2012 and gives the file the name 2012? hope that makes sense...

Sure. Make the destination folder F:\Movies and the file name {parent}\{parent}
