H264/QSV failed to initalize, can't figure it out

description

Hello,

I am trying to use the QSV encoder in VidCoder 1.5.31 and no matter what I do, whether I use new, old, 64 or 32-bit versions, uninstall, reinstall, remove Handbrake, I can't seem to get VidCoder to encode with QSV. Any other encoder works fine, but not QSV. I don't have the same problem if I use Handbrake, but I need this in VidCoder because I'm aiming for target size.

Attached is my log.

Failure to initialise thread 'H.264/AVC encoder (Intel QSV)'

More specifically, ^ that is the error I get, no matter what I try to encode. I am running the program as an administrator, so I doubt it's a permission issue. I'm going to try uninstalling Handbrake and Vidcoder, cleaning up the registry and then try an older version and see if I get the same error. I doubt that's the issue though if no one else is having the same problem.

I'm also doubting a driver issue if Handbrake can encode with QSV perfectly fine. Downgrading to an older version does not resolve the issue either.

Does this still happen with Beta 2.2? The encoding interface was re-written so it may have resolved it.
