VidCoder Not Encoding Constant Framerate

description

1.5.31.0 (x64)

I have VidCoder set to do a constant framerate encode, however, it always ends up variable.

Profile:
<Framerate>0</Framerate>
<ConstantFramerate>true</ConstantFramerate>
(This is the "Constant Framerate" and "Same as Source" setting.)

(Full profile is attached.)

Encoded:
Frame rate mode : Variable
Frame rate : 23.976 fps
Minimum frame rate : 23.974 fps
Maximum frame rate : 23.981 fps
Source:
Frame rate mode : Constant
Frame rate : 23.976 fps

Does HandBrake have the same behavior? Sometimes apps like MediaInfo aren't reliable for CFR/VFR. Also a log would help tell is VidCoder passed the VFR flag down to Handbrake.

I will investigate and update with more info. I'm gonna work with a small clip to keep logs/file sizes down.

One note, MediaInfo shows a constant framerate if I don't use 'same as source'.

Scratch that, even forcing framerate resulted in the same issue. It appears to be HandBrake issue as well, sadly, with the latest version.

Testing results, with mediainfo information, profiles, and logs is attached.

Definately not the worst bug ever but kinda confused why it's occuring in Handbrake. The log file explictly states the frame rates. I suppose it COULD be mediainfo as well but it does identifiy the source content properly.

If Handbrake has the same issues I'd discuss with them about it.
