DTS passthru'

I've been doing a conversion from a DVD source, and I tried 'passthru' on the DTS audio track.

During playback I was not able to get some of the popular players to play the DTS track at all -- there was no sound.  AC-3 passthru' played properly on these players.

I tried VLC Player, and Media Player Home Cinema.

I selected 'passthru' for the encoder in the Audio setting for the DTS track.

Anyone sees these issues also?

Hmmm. I think that DTS in MP4 files is hardly supported anywhere. I remember some HandBrake guys talking about how only some off-the-wall player supported it. You'll have much better luck with putting it in an MKV container I think.

Added an inline warning for this case in 1.0.2.

This is not an issue with just MP4 containers.  It does not work in MKV.  I have to encode the video file and then use MKV Merge to put the DTS audio from the original file into the MKV and remove whatever it is that doesn't play in the MKV file created by VidCoder.  When I do this the DTS Passthrough works just fine.

I've gotten DTS passthrough to work with MKV before. Could be a player issue. I'll double-check this when I can.

Yeah it's working just fine for me using Zoom Player.
