hello ! love the VidCoder, nice to have a "handbrake" but in development :)

Is there any way to take use of the audio-coder without having to encode also video? Sometimes I just like to make a 2nd soundtrack for my videos.

thanks

edit: in other words, simply encoding a audiofile I later can mux into a matroska using mkvmerge etc.

Glad you're enjoying it! Unfortunately there's no way to do that since

1) It's not supported in HandBrake, which VidCoder uses for the encoding engine
2) The HandBrake developers have no intention of adding that

All right, guess I then have to continue with the ~20 min "ultra fast" preset encoding to get me a videofile containing the downmixed audio which I later extract and mux into my untouched movie :) Not optimal, but it does work.

But keep it under your hat anyway, should it become possible to do this in the future. The audio-part is very good, being able to preview (pre-listen?) gain and leveling etc ! :)
