PC shuts down when encoding

Dec 9, 2013 at 6:33 PM
Hi,

I have just installed latest version and when encoding (ISO to MP4) and every time I encode a Movie the PC shuts down.

I have Windows 8.1 and 8gb of ram with fast CPU.

The ISO images are created using Dvd shrink if that makes a difference.

Any ideas?

When you're encoding, what does it say beside "When done" in the lower right corner of the main window?
Dec 9, 2013 at 9:10 PM

It says Do Nothing

Does it shut down during the encode or after it's done? Can you upload the encode log in %appdata%\VidCoder\Logs or %appdata%\VidCoder-Beta\Logs to pastebin?

Hmm that's odd. I don't think there's any code that VidCoder is running that would specifically shut down the computer. Maybe there's overheating? That's my only guess at this point.

Right. I opened PC and vacuumed out dust, running much cooler now and working perfectly.

Thanks for your help.
