Release Notes

  • Fixed a couple regressions: video encoder was blank in queue and crashes with the High Profile preset when opening the Settings window.
  • Fixed problem with auto-update introduced in 1.2.0. If you have 1.2.0 you will need to update manually to get this.

Reviews for this release

This is 1 of the best rip tools. It's easy and fast. I have some ideas :) 1. Destination should be Destination Folder. Just choose folder without saving the file 2. "Add to queue" should be near the the "Video" and "Audio" option 3. Add an "Add all to queue" button 4. I want select the files in the queue with my mouse by drag and drop 5. It could look like this: http://tinyurl.com/VidCod

Excellent program! Interface supersedes Handbrake in many ways. Best of all, Vidcoder supports Target File Size which Handbrake did away in their nightlies, meaning it won't be in their next stable release either. CRF (constant rate factor) encoding is superior in many cases, but there are certainly situations that arise where target file size is applicable. Vidcoder fills the void. Thanks!!

I switched to this application from HandBrake and I never looked back! I really love the simple interface. However, since version 1.2.x, my encodings has some artifacts in them. Never has any problem in the past. Hope this will be fixed in the next version.
